How do credits work in IndexCheckr?
One credit equals one page check. This applies to manual checks, automatic rechecks, Quick Check, the Chrome extension and the API. If you schedule a page to be checked at regular intervals, each check uses one credit. If you run out of credits, checking stops until you top up. There are no subscriptions or quotas, just a simple, pay-per-check system.

Do I get free credits to try IndexCheckr?
Yes. Every new account gets 50 free credits.

Am I charged when a check fails?
No. A credit is only used when a check returns a result.

Do credits expire?
No. Credits never expire and remain available until used.

Can I see how many credits I’ve used?
Yes. The Usage Report shows how many credits your automatic rechecks use, broken down by project and recheck frequency, and when your credits will run out.

What happens if I recheck all pages?
All pages in the project will be checked, using one credit per page, even if a page was recently checked.

Can I recheck only non-indexed pages?
Yes. Use Recheck non-indexed pages in the Projects Overview, or filter the Pages Report on a status and recheck only those pages, to optimize credit use.

Why does it take time to check my pages?
We scrape Google to detect indexing. Since Google tries to block scraping, we use many proxies and pace requests carefully. This protects your checks from being blocked, but it also means it can take time, especially for large projects.

The tool says the page is not indexed, but it is. Why?
We perform two separate checks per page to minimize false negatives. However, Google operates multiple datacenters, which may not always be synchronized. A page might be indexed in one datacenter but not another. These mismatches are rare and usually temporary.

What is the difference between "Page not indexed" and "Domain not indexed"?
​Page not indexed means the URL wasn’t found in Google, but other pages of its site were. Domain not indexed means Google returned no results at all for the site’s root domain. See the Pages Report for details.

Can I stop automatic rechecks once a page is indexed?
Yes. If you enable Stop checking when pages get indexed, IndexCheckr will no longer recheck a page once it's confirmed as indexed.

Can I check URLs without creating a project?
Yes. Use Quick Check to check up to 1,000 URLs at once, or the Chrome extension to check pages from your browser. Quick Check results are kept for 30 days.

Can I group pages inside a project?
Yes. Add tags to your pages (by client, campaign, link type…), then filter the Pages Report by tag and apply bulk actions to just those pages.

Do I need separate credits to use the indexers?
Yes. IndexCheckr credits are only for checking index status. You need to buy separate credits from each indexer service you use.

Which indexers are supported?
IndexMeNow, Omega Indexer, SpeedLinks, Links Indexer, Rapid URL Indexer, Indexceptional, Sinbyte and IndexZilla (see Connecting IndexCheckr to indexer tools). If your indexer is not listed, contact support@indexcheckr.com to request integration.

My pages are not being submitted to my indexer. What should I do?
Check the Sent to Indexer column of the Pages Report and the error shown on the Indexer settings page. The most common cause is running out of credits with the indexer. See Indexer submission status and troubleshooting.

Can I use IndexCheckr without connecting to an indexer?
Yes. IndexCheckr works independently for checking indexing status. Indexer integration is optional and only needed if you want to actively request indexing.

Do I need to add pages manually?
No. You can bulk upload via CSV, import from an XML sitemap, or add pages through the API (see Setting up your first project and Adding pages).

Can I test the tool with just a few pages?
Yes. Use your 50 free credits to run a Quick Check or create a project with a few pages and see how the tool works.

Is the API included?
Yes. The API is available to all accounts with a verified email address, at no extra cost. Checks made through the API use credits like any other check.

Can my colleagues use my account?
Yes. Invite them from the Team page. They log in with their own account and use your credits.

How do I add my VAT number?
Click on the "Enter VAT ID" link on the first screen of the checkout process.

How do I access my invoices?
Click on the Invoices link in the main menu to the left, then click on the PDF icon next to the invoice you want to open. A copy of each invoice is also sent to your email.

Do you offer larger credit packages?
Yes. Packs go up to 1,000,000 credits (see Buy credits, top-up and invoices). For larger custom packages, contact us at support@indexcheckr.com or use the chat widget inside the app.
