How Can IndexCheckr Help You?

icon

Know when your new content gets indexed

It can take time for new pages to be indexed. Until they are, indexed pages virtually don't exist. Use IndexCheckr to know when your new pages get indexed.

icon

Monitor your indexed pages for any change

Pages can get deindexed because of an unintentional change like a bad robot meta tag. Search engines can even deindex pages, which can be very detrimental. With our index checker tool, you can monitor your pages and be reassured this does not happen.

Check if your backlinks are indexed

To improve your website’s backlink structure, you need to ensure that your links are placed on pages that are actually indexed. With IndexCheckr, you can easily double-check this since it is useless to place links on pages that are not indexed as they have no SEO value.

It's a great tool that works incredibly well. I had issues with Screaming Frog and other tools, while this one gets the job done.

I highly recommend to add IndexCheckr to your SEO toolkit.

Common questions about IndexCheckr

The Fundamentals of Google Indexed Pages Checker

Google visits millions upon millions of websites each day and creates a so-called ‘index’ for each page on the website that it acquires interest in.

This doesn’t mean that, automatically, all websites will be indexed since Google needs to find relevant keywords, titles, or topics of interest that would aid a user’s query in Google’s search engine results page (SERP).

Precisely because of this, many website owners, SEO enthusiasts, and webmasters worry when it comes to Google indexing their pages. This is when a Google index checker tool comes in handy. It allows those in charge to check the indexing status of their websites’ pages.

By doing so, you’ll know if your page is visible in the SERPs and if there’s anything you need to fix prior to sending it Google’s way. Our tool will enable you to instantly know if your page is indexed and schedule upcoming checks in case you made some updates in the meantime.

How to Check Site Index in Google with IndexCheckr

Our process is quite simple, and the tool’s interface is beginner-friendly, so you’ll have no trouble navigating through it.

Once you sign up, you’ll see a left panel dashboard, and on the right side you’ll have insights into your projects.

IndexCheckr Dashoboard

To add a project, click on the ‘Add Project’ button at the top right of the dashboard and then follow the prompts:

  • Name - enter the name of the project
  • Description - add a description of the project (optional)
  • Add Pages - the bulk index checker field allows you to manually add specific pages, choose to import via a CSV file or via your own Sitemap
  • Recheck Period - choose the period if you want recurring checks
  • Email Notification - check the box if you wish to receive an email notification when the added pages are checked

When you fill in all details, just hit the ‘Create’ button, and the project will be visible in your dashboard with scheduled checks for all pages you’ve listed.

Google Page Index Checker Results

To check the status of each page you’ve listed in the project, just click on the project, and a full list of URL items will appear with the following data:

  • Creation Date - the date when you added the URL
  • Last Check Date - the last time IndexCheckr checked the URL
  • Re-Check Period - daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly re-checking cycles (if the option is turned on)
  • Status - the status of the URL
  • Actions - three types of options you can choose to do

When you conduct a Google index test for your project, the most important data here is Status’. The tool will check the URLs and report the following status:

  • Indexed - page is indexed
  • Not Indexed - page is not indexed, but other pages on the same domain are
  • Domain Not Indexed - no pages on the same domain are indexed

Google Index Checker Next Steps

Once you take a look at the projects’ URLs and determine which ones are not indexed, you need to find the reasons behind Google’s decision. Sometimes poor backlinks leading to your pages may be the key factor, or maybe your page isn’t optimized with the proper keywords and relevancy.

For the latter scenario, you’ll have to analyze your pages for optimization purposes. But for the former scenario, we have a solution. By using our bulk google index checker tool, you can create a separate project where you would input all backlinks you receive and then check them to see which link doesn’t bring you any juice. You need to make sure that the page which links back to your website has value and is indexed by Google.

How to Index Website on Google

So you’ve checked which pages are not indexed, optimized them accordingly, and now it’s time to ask Google to make them visible.

For this step, you’d need the Google Search Console tool where your website is added and verified. Once you’re there, take your URLs and add them in the ‘inspect any URL in’ field at the top of your screen.

GSC inspect an URL

The Google indexed pages checker tool will then conduct its own scan and provide you with data about its status. Upon doing so, you will need to click on the ‘Request Indexing’ button.

GSC request indexing of a page

After that, once another scan is finished, a message will prompt stating ‘your URL is added to a priority crawl queue’.

GSC indexing of page requested

However, do note that it’s not advisable to do this often and with too many pages on your website. The best practices here are to fix any potential issue with your page or backlinks and then leave it up to Google to re-crawl and index itself.

Is Google indexing free?

Yes, adding pages to be indexed by Google is free, although you’d need to use the Google Search Console tool.

There you’ll be able to request indexing to pages you want to become visible, but you’ll have to do it one by one as the Google Search Console tool doesn’t allow requests made in bulk.

How do you check if a page is indexed in Google?

You can check the indexing status of a page by using IndexCheckr to see if it is visible in Google’s SERPs. Our tool allows you to check your website’s pages in bulk to see if they’re indexed, enables you to receive email notifications, and gives you the option to conduct recurring checks.

Moreover, if you wish to scan your competitors’ websites or check if the pages that link back to you are actually indexed, you can do so with our Google index checker tool by adding new projects to keep track of the data.
